Andrew, Steve and the team at Bell Building have recently completed a major renovation at our home in New Plymouth.

From the first meeting with Steve to discuss submission of a quotation, right through to completion of the project, the Bell Brothers have conducted business dealings in an extremely professional and satisfying manner.

We were looking for a building company who was prepared to go the extra distance to provide a service that would ensure a compliant, quality end product and Bell Building delivered on all fronts.

As with many major renovations, various challenges arose during the course of the project which were received and managed efficiently by Steve who has a very positive and accommodating attitude.

We can't thank you enough for our fabulous new bathroom. You have totally transformed our old dark and cramped bathroom to a spacious, light and ultra modern executive bathroom. It is now the stunning focal point of our house.

Andrew was absolutely superb with his everlasting helpfulness, organisation, patience and fantastic customer service skills from the start. No matter how many questions I asked, and changed my mind on things, he never batted an eye and was always willing to do whatever it took to keep us happy and give us what we wanted. Steve was also amazing and constantly keeping us up to date with progress and timing and organising sub-contractors. What would have been a stressful project for us was made so simple and easy by Andrew and Steve.

We are so thrilled with the results, that we will definitely be using Bell Building again in the near future for the next stage of our renovations.

Inglewood Kindergarten has had Bell Building complete several large building projects over the past three years.

The consultation and quoting of the projects was done in plenty of time, with to be opportunity for discussion and openness about how this would fit in with our kindergarten requirements. The standard of the workmanship is very professional and we have not had any difficulties with any of the projects.

The managers Steve and Andrew Bell are easy to work with, considerate and honest, which is really important when you do building work.

Our projects have always been finished on time and to budget.

We contracted Bell Building to project manage renovations at my mother’s property in January 2011.

Steve was fantastic to work with and very approachable. Considering he was often very busy with much bigger projects, I never felt like our smaller renovation project wasn’t just as important.

Mum’s renovation was completed on time and within budget – obviously these are both very important factors when taking on any building or renovation project. Steve project managed all of the sub-contractors and their work was carried out to a very high standard. We were very happy with the end result which transformed mum’s dark unit into a light & spacious home!

Steve, Andrew and the rest of the Bell Building team are professional, personable and were great to work with.

We feel lucky enough to have had Bell Building referred to us to have a room extension done to our home. We were very particular to choose the right builders as our home was built in the early 1900's and we wanted the extension to be in character with the rest of our home.

We were also looking for honest and reliable builders with a high standard of workmanship and who would also come in on budget. We feel that all of our demands were met with Bell Building and in particular John and Daimien who were on site most days. They were both pleasant and honest to have around our home. Steve and Andrew were also great to deal with, with nothing ever being to big a problem for them to help us out with. They kept us well informed of what was happening along the way.

We are very pleased with what has been done with the extension and we have been getting a lot of compliments from friends stating that it is hard to believe that it an extension, as it fits in perfectly with the rest of the house. I can only but highly recommend them from the work that has been completed here.

In August 2009 Bell Building won a selected tender to build a 40sqm garage/hobby room on our property. From day one, even during the tendering process they were helpful and customer focussed - particularly with respect to our specific requirements such as the schedule for completion.

Once the job was underway we were impressed with their organisational skills with respect to suppliers and subcontractors and their attention to detail.
The team was committed to doing "the right thing" and any issues, the few that there were, were dealt with efficiently and fairly. The workmanship was top notch - no shortcuts were taken.

Steve, from the start of the job through to the finish your quality of work has been first class. As with any renovation ours threw up it’s fair share of problems and head scratchers, however you and your team approached them all with professionalism and nothing seemed to phase you at all. We employed the services of Bell Building in May 2008. We had already decided on our house design and needed to find a builder to build our first home.

Bell Building was recommended to us as a trustworthy, professional company and so we embarked on this experience in partnership with Steve, Andrew and the Bell Building company with much excitement.

We had heard many conflicting stories about building your own home but for us it was a goal and an experience we wanted to have. After obtaining quotes and speaking with several builders, the Bell Building team stood out as being very organised, professional and honest. Bell Building were keen to project manage the build as a whole and apart from us recommending one or two sub-contractors, that is exactly what they did.

We received weekly progress updates from Andrew, who not only told us at what stage the building was up to, but was also keen to know if we were happy with the progress or had any concerns. This was a much appreciated and invaluable communication process that lasted right the way through to completion and receiving council certificate of compliance.

Steve and his crew of guys were very professional in their manner, workmanship and relationships with each other and with us. Steve was always happy to stop work and talk to us if we arrived on site, no matter what the time. The boys worked through some challenging weather conditions and displayed a great work ethic.

We are absolutely thrilled with the final product which we feel has been finished to an excellent standard. As first time home builders we have not been put off by the building process and should we ever decide to build another home we wouldn’t hesitate in asking Bell Building to build it for us.

In the winter of 2008 we engaged Steve Bell, who had recently started his own building business, to build bedroom extensions to the main house and farm house at Warea. He approached his work with enthusiasm arriving early in the morning and leaving late in the afternoon. He and his workers got on well together and any changes that were needed in the alterations were discussed with us before being undertaken.

The finished work was highly commended by the building inspector and us.

We would have no worries in recommending Bell Building.

We hired Bell Building to add 23m2 onto our house. We wanted a new bedroom, walk in wardrobe and ensuite and also small additions to our deck.

The reason we employed them was their thoroughness with the pre-planning and preparing an itemised quote. They were the only firm to have a plumber on site on the day they prepared the quote.

The team of Rene, Daimien and Chad were very good to communiciate with and easy to discuss small issues with as they kept us up to date with the progress of the job.

There were a few small issues that were not allowed for by the designer we used (who had left the country) and Steve and Andrew were easy to talk to and prepared to find solutions at the best possible price.

The extension looks good now, the kids enjoy the new room and the finshed quality is good. The subcontractors used were also good to discuss issues with and got the job done including the electricans, painters, roofers and plumbers.

We would recommend Bell Building on price, communication, planning and quality.
